To write a sentence, choosing the correct pattern of grammatical collocation is very important, especially, those who still learning English in the early age. This study aims to analyze the types of grammatical collocation error and to find out the most and fewest grammatical collocation error produced by the second semester students English Department, Universitas Airlangga. The method of this study was qualitative approach. This study involved 34 students’ essays of the second semester students of the English Department.
