Metformin HCl microspheres for oral delivery system is an alternative to deliver metformin HCl which improved efficacy and produced prolonged release. Some factors that affected physical characterization microspheres (produced by ionotropic gelation method with aerozolisation technique using alginate as polymer and CaCl2 as crosslinker) are polymer concentration and crosslinker concentration.
