Poster Session IX - Board: IX-133We examined how women’s construal of the appearance-acceptance link influences the extent to which exposure to thin-ideal images increases their body dissatisfaction. We found that appearance-based rejection sensitivity and perceived consensus of the legitimacy of thinness norms accentuated the effect of thin-ideal images on women’s body dissatisfaction
