◆ Background: Patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) with Pseudomonas aeruginosa exit-site infection (ESI) refractory to antibiotic treatment often require replacement of their peritoneal dialysis catheter (PDC). The optimal interval between removal and reinsertion of the PDC is not known.
