Understanding the right time to administer growth factors and the dosage of growth factors are prerequisites for designing effective cytokine therapy. We investigated the supplementation-time dependence of the effects of platelet-derived growth factor isoform B at various dosages on tendon healing, and the temporal responsiveness of healing tendon toward platelet-derived growth factor.
