Honey From Quran’s point of view to therapeutic applicationin in modern medicine

Nutritional and medical importance of honey has long been emphasized. Based on the evidence obtained from ancient Greeks consuming heavenly food were attributed to their god’s immortality and eternality. In their faith, honey was one of the important components of heaven food. Likewise, Honey had been playing an important role in ancient Egyptians spiritual, social, and economic life. Moreover, Jewish religious texts describe the Promised Land as a place that creeks of milk and honey are streaming. In the Bible, honey and herbs were mentioned as precious gifts of nature. 1400 years ago, Holy Quran attests curative effect of honey. In Nahl Sure honey’s status and its production by bees has been recapped and mentioned as a remedy for people. Therefore, in this manuscript, the miraculous effects of honey from its component of the honey and therapeutic effect on treatment of diseases such as heart disease, gastrointestinal, renal, diabetes, burns, dental caries and anti-bacterial has been reviewed and some antioxidant properties of honey have been considered
