An efficient implementation of CYK-based continuous speech recognition is investigated. First, the word level and the sentence level processes in Ney\u27s algorithm were reorganized so that they proceed in synchronization with input frame. Then, beam search prunings were incorporated into the two processing levels. A new acceleration technique, beam data driven parsing, was successfully introduced. Considerable improvements in computational and memory efficiency were established through a sentence speech recognition experiment
