Studies on the mutation of Pseudomonas solanacearum B19 strain from virus sensitivity to virus resistance

According to the statistical analysis of the results obtained from fluctuation test, the genetic change of Pseudomonas solanacearum B19 strain from SP1hB19virus sensitivity to virus resistance was assumed theoretically to the spontaneous mutation occurred during the life cycle of each cell, and the mutation rate determined experimentally was 1.6×10^-8. The mutation was associated with failure of the mutant to adsorb SP1hB19 virus to which it had been resistant. But yet, the mutant was still sensitive to the other viruses, so it was assumed that the resistance was due to the specific failure of the adsorption mechanism to SP1hB19 virus.SP1hB19ウィールスに対する Pseudomonas solanacearum B19株のウィールス耐性変異はその増殖中に生起する自然突然変異と解され, その変異率は, 1.6×10^-8である. 本耐性変異菌はSP1hB19ウィールス吸着力を喪失し, 従つてウィールス耐性であるが, SP1hBl9以外のウィールスに対する感受性は依然保持している
