El Aporte de la Base de Datos INFOBILA a la Bibliotecología Costarricense

This paper analize the contribution of INFOBILA database to the Costa Rican teaching and research since 1996 with the support of the Vicerrectoría de Investigación, UCR. This database is an example of cooperative work among Latino American countries. Here, we find three studies made from this database. They demonstrate that students use the information belonging to INFOBILA and explore the future of the work developed as part of a new project: the Observatorio de la Bibliotecología Costarricense at the Escuela de Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información, UCR. This allows to increase the possibilities to new studies and uses in order to develop the Library and Information Science studies
