The educational program of using simulated patients to develop communication skills for nursing students have widely been accepted because of its various advantages. A simulated patient is a healthy person, but required to state the histories of illness (present or past) or family, habitual and social circumstances, and to play a role of actual patients physically or emotionally. To elucidate educational effects and further problems of this procedure, we have reviewed seventy-nine nursing students\u27 reports, which were offered after completing the program.
