[EN] The present paper describes the guidelines of the project “E-Tandem-Projekt Valköln” between the Universitat Politècnica de València and the Language Learning Centre of Technische Hochschule Köln. The pilot experience took place in the academic year 2014/15 with Spanish-speaking undergraduates learning German at A1 level and German-speaking undergraduates learning Spanish at B1 level. The aim of the project was to improve the communicative skills of the foreign language (oral and written comprehension and expression) by means of interaction working in online tandem.
