[EN] The aim of this research is to study the behaviour of polypropylene and steel fibres in reinforced concrete, to purpose solutions for improve its strength to spalling phenomenon. The spalling is a phenomenon that it appears when the concrete is ex-posed to above temperatures, 200ºC - 250ºC, during long periods of time. Spalling consists of the breaking of petrous concrete structure by free water vaporization associated chemically so that to create fissures in the concrete. As the molecules of water are lost due to dehydration, the concrete loses cohesiveness and be weakens, breaking up resistant concrete section.
