[EN] Since the first studies were carried out in the 1970s and 1980s concerning gender representation in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) textbooks, many changes have been implemented by the main publishers involved in producing these materials in order to reduce the levels of discrimination and the invisibility of women and to ensure a balanced representation of both sexes.
