Solid-state voltammetry is used for studying the composition of corrosion products in a series of sculptures from the Contemporary Sculpture Collection of the Universidad Politècnica de Valencia (Spain). Upon attachment to paraffin-impregnated graphite electrodes, well-defined voltammetric responses were obtained upon immersion in 0.10 M HCl. A hematite with a variable degree of hydration and crystallinity, accompanied by FeO(OH) forms, is identified as the main corrosion product.
