<p>Piezoelectric micromachined ultrasound transducer (pMUT) two-dimensional (2D) arrays have been proposed as an alternative to conventional bulk-PZT thickness-mode transducers for high frequency, forward-looking, catheter-based ultrasound imaging of the cardiovascular system.
