Juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME) is a well-defined age-related idiopathic epilepsy syndrome. Past studies have emphasized the difficulties in the treatment of patients with JME, which have been attributed to some specific psychiatric, psychological, and psychosocial characteristics.
