[EN] This work is based on a small introduction to the world of energy efficiency. We will focus on talking about the current municipal water distribution systems of their characteristics. The main topic of the work is to analyse the energy losses of these systems and how we could reduce them and even take advantage of them for other tasks. We will discuss about the disadvantages of pressure reducing valves and how we are investigating the possibility of using Turbines or Pumps As Turbines (PAT) to transform these energy losses into available energy, such as the generation of electricity.[ES] Análisis sobre el actual sistema hidraulico.
