Xylella fastidiosa (Wells et al., 1987), the dangerous pathogen in Europe

This bibliographical work tries to study the biology, importance and effects of the pathogen Xylella fastidiosa (Wells et al., 1987). This pathogen is common on the American continent, although the recent discovery of an outbreak in the South of Italy has raised the alert in Europe. This work aims to understand both its geographical distribution, as their vectors, host plants and the methods of control on the crops.Este trabajo bibliográfico intenta estudiar la biología, importancia y efectos de la patógeno Xylella fastidiosa (Wells et al., 1987). Este patógeno es común en el continente de americano, aunque el reciente descubrimiento de un brote en el sur de Italia ha elevado la alerta en Europa.
