[EN] The present work is developed within the framework of the conversion of waste into alternative sources of energy. In this context, the project is devoted to the sustainable management of the residues produced during the harvest of rice (mainly rice straw). An efficient handling of this waste will lead to the development of new and alternative procedures for the obtaining of energy. The residual straw will constitute the feedstock of a gasification process by means of a spouted bed reactor and the resulting syngas will be used to produce either heat or electricity.[ES] El presente trabajo se desarrolla en el marco de conversión de residuos en fuentes alternativas de energía. En este contexto, el proyecto tiene como finalidad la gestión sostenible de los residuos producidos por actividades agrícolas, especialmente la paja resultante del cultivo de arroz. Una gestión eficiente de dichos residuos supondrá el desarrollo de nuevos y alternativos métodos de obtención de energía.
