Our objectives were to study the arousal responses to nonrespiratory (acoustic) stimuli in children with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS). the acoustic arousal response was studied in children with OSAS due to adenotonsillar hypertrophy compared to normal, age-matched children.
