Purpose and background: The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) require pediatric subspecialty fellows to learn a core curriculum of scholarly topics including biostatistics, research methodology, teaching, quality improvement and leadership. Traditionally, each fellowship would develop such curricula for their own fellows –leading to variable experiences for fellows in different disciplines.
