Diagnóstico da ocupação urbana na região do Vale do Reginaldo-Maceió/AL

The process of urbanization of Brazilian cities causes serious social problems. This becomes evident the importance of obtaining information about the spatiotemporal evolution of cities. But in situ measurements are expensive. So the remote sensing presents a altenative way to urban planning. Thus, this research aims to evaluate the spatial and temporal evolution in the Vale do Reginaldo (Maceió-AL) using thecnics of geopreocessing. This work was made using the cartographic base of the Maceió-Alagoas, and aerial photographs from 1974 and 1997 and a QuickBird image of 2005. The aerial photographs and satellital image were georeferenced using control points and Vista Saga and SPRING softwares. After this anaglyph were constructed from pairs of aerial photographs from 1974 and 1997. The QuickBird imagem was classified using the supervised classification thechnique. The results of research showed that there are the class vegetation, buildings, paving, bare soil, water and shade. There is a inverse behavior between buildings and vegetation. While the vegetation representend  58% of the study area in 1974, the buildings represented  17%. But, in 2005, the vegetation represented only 17% of the study area while the buildings occupied 58% of the study area. The bare soil class changed from  23% to 6% between the years 1974 and 2005.Pages: 847-85
