Homopolymerizations of 1-olefins in aqueous emulsions with Ni(II) salicylaldiminato complexes starting from a monomer miniemulsion, affords dispersions of poly(1-olefins). Microstructures can be varied by control of the chain running capability of the catalyst via remote substituents of the ligand. 2,1-insertion has been unambiguously shown for a neutral Ni(II) polymerization catalyst for the first time.The catalyst aktivity in ethene homopolymerisation and the influence of polar compounds were systematicaly investigated in non aqueous media.New binuclear Salicylaldiminato-Ni(II)-complexes were synthesized and investigated the ethene homopolymerization
