PosterThe main purpose of the study was the identification and description of personal strenghts and adaptive psychological functioning of elite and excellent athletes. Similar and difference patterns in “ways of being” were explored using a qualitative case analysis approach. A semi-structured interview was used with two purposefully selected high-performance athletes, competing at international level in canoeing (one female national top athlete, aged 17; and one male world top athlete, aged 21 years).
