This paper focuses on the perception of different psychological structures which, taken together, constitute social action from the observer\u27s perspective. Thus, action identification is conceptualized as a function of structural components (frame domain) and semantic features (semantic domain). Certain combinations of semantic features are prescriptive schemata for typical behavior. The participants were primed for prescriptive or non-prescriptive schemata, then engaged in a memory task. The memory task consisted of an acquisition phase (participants heard partial action event sentences) and a recognition phase (participants were asked to identify sentences they had heard).
