Traditional directional modulation (DM) designs are normally based on a single phased array, with the assumption that eavesdroppers and desired users are in different directions. However, it is not always the case, as it is possible that they are in the same direction. As a result, signals received by eavesdroppers will be approximately the same as desired users.
