Re-analysis is the method of obtaining approximate solutions for perturbed systems by using those of the unperturbed systems without going for time-demanding exact solutions. In this work, a response re-analysis method is proposed based on eigenparameter perturbation. The method uses modal properties obtained by modal re-analysis of the modified system. Illustrative examples with free and constrained viscoelastic damping layer treatments are given and response re-analysis is applied to them. Results for the resonance frequencies and response amplitudes are presented and compared with the finite element solutions. Convergence of the method is also studied. The method is also evaluated from the point of view of the computational effort needed...
