Case study research

-Case study research explores a phenomenon in its context and assumes that this context is of significance to the phenomenon. -It is a flexible and holistic approach to research design in which data collection is shaped by the boundaries of the case being studied. -A critical step is to define the case, making sure that it illustrates the issue under investigation. -Insider knowledge of the context, or at least the ability to access it, is important in shaping the sampling and data collection methods. -The ability to transfer knowledge beyond the case is important in developing high-quality case study research
