My research investigated Christians and Muslims involved in the Climate Movement and the Transition Towns Movement in Britain. Based on participant observation conducted between 2007 and 2010, I examine the processes and practices that allowed these activists to stay simultaneously involved in two ideologically distinct communities: that of their respective faith tradition and the "dark green" territory found in the Climate and Transition Towns movements
