SFCTICN V Advisory Committees Reporting to the President A, The Budget and General Services Committee lo There shall be a Budget and General Services Committee which shall be appointed by the President of the University and which shall advise him on matters relating to the income and expenditures of the University. 2. The Committee shall receive reports on matters relating to the accounting and business management of the University, 3. The Committee shall examine into the financial implications of anticipated academic programs* 4* The Committee shall consider and advise the President on ouestions relating to salaries and other forms of compensation for clerical and custodial staff. 5* The Committee shall advise on any pension or social insurance plan or plans to be adopted by the University. 6, The Committee shall advise on the maintenance and development of buildings, grounds and facilities. 7. The Comittee each year shall advise the President on the preparation of the unit and departmental budgets for the subsequent financial year. S. The Committee may appoint such sub-committees as it deems necessary, consisting either in part or wholly of its own members. B. The Appointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee 1. There shall be an Appointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee which shall be appointed by the President of the University, and which shall advise him on matters relating to the appointment, promotion and tenure of professional staff* The Dean of the Faculties Departmental chairmen, heads of Units and the University Librarian are commended to the President as members of the Committee* 2, The Committee shall receive the recommendations of the Committee of Departmental Chairmen and of the heads of Units on matters relating to the appointment, promotion and tenure of professional staff
