A scheme for teaching or training Egyptians in conducting school libraries should grow out of such a library. Cost - A large initial gift would be required to build, stock# and staff such a library. A continuing annual sum would be needed to maintain staff and add to stock until a means might bo worked out for having upkeep taken over by Egyptian Government or some local agency. III. Alternate Scheme. An appropriation might be made for purchasing books and periodicals on such topics as nan»d. Theee might be passed over to the American University as custodian. Assistance would nood to bo given the university in caring far any great increase in books. 1.
