MsQuiston, McClenahan, Cleland, Jeffery# Mr# McQ,uiston dpened with prayer# 770# PROPERTY COMMITTEE: Chairman of Property Committee presented Minutes of meeting of May 20th reporting transaction of routine business connected with care and use of property# 771. gTMMBR maAftEMENT QE MR# HOWARD AND MR# JOHNSONt Authorization was given to the College to engage Mr# Howard for two months during the summer at IB 10 per mensem plus board up to P.T. 150 per week, for 156 hours of assigned work per mensem# Authorization was also given for the engagement of Mr# Johnson at the same rate for the period of one week commencing June 16th# Expenses beyond what Xibrary Fund will carry to be charged to Emergency Account. 772# RECEPTION TO AMERICAN MINISTER* President reported arrangements being made for a Reception for Dr# Howell to be held in the College, in view of his approaching departure from Egypt# 773# NAME OF COLLEGE! Council approved the action of the College Faculty in selecting the name "American College of Arts and Sciences” as their distinctive appellation, it being understood, however, that the name of the University may be used in connection therewith whenever necessahy# 774.
