General Patch 2:15 PM 5 November 1956 Present: Mr. Culbertson, chA.irman, Dr. Hollenbach, Mrs. McLain, Mr. Conn, Dr, Chavarria, Dr. Provinse, Mr. Horton, Secretary. 1. Minute: The reading of the last minutes was deferred. 2. Minute: Travel Plans (See Enclosure A) The AUC group will travel as far as the Embassy debarkation pro-cedures permit, probably to Rome. At the same time reservations for group travel to Geneva will be made at the earliest opportunity for 8 November or the night of 7 November (if by train). The general meeting place, if we get separated in Rome, is the American Express. 3. Minute: Financial krrangements (Enc. A) A set of instructions for distribution to the staff was approved. 4. Minute: Arrangements for Arrival in Geneva (Enc. A) a) Mr. Horton and Mr. Savage to leave for Geneva immediately upon arrival to secure accommodations. b) Communication channels: Culbertson, Amexco, Naples or Rome; Horton, Amexco, Geneva 5. Minute: Status of Students It was decided that AUC students wishing to make the trip to Geneva with the staff should be permitted to do so and to use the University facilities for securing rooms in Geneva. All costs will be carried by the students concerned, though in certain cases the University will assist by making advances. 6. Minute: Time of Next Meeting: The next meeting of the Evacuee Council will be held on 5 November 1956 at 10 PM in the Main Lounge. 7. Minute: Ad,1ournment: The meeting adjourned at 3:45 PM. AWH Sec
