American University at Cairo Action of the Administrative Committee Concrning the Method of Handling Cases of Infraction of College Rules. The committee agreed on the following nrocedure: n 1 - For those infractions occurring in a class room situation: (a) The teacher would handle this himself if he feels able to do so. (b) More serious matters will be referred to the Dean who will investigate and arrive at a decision on action jointly with the teacher and probably the assistant dean and eounsolor, (c) If the action is serious enough to involve possible dismissal, the case would be brought to the President and the Administrative Committee. II •- For something outside. the classroom: (a) The dean and assistant dean vill handle minor cases. (b) In more serious cases, the President and counselor will be brought in. (c) If the group involved is fairly large and the matter seems serious, the Administrative Committee will be called into session, This approach supersedes the former system of holding hearings before a dcsignAed Discipline Committee
