49 Appendix E October 29, 1926. The Finance Committee has the following recommendations to make to the Board of Trustees:- (1) THAT the revised Budget for 1926-27 be vproved. (2) THAT the Trustees approve the appointment of Mr. Arnold A. Garthoff as Bursar, find Wendell Cleland as Vice Bursar for the year 1926-27. (3) THAT the sum of Thirty-five Dollars be granted to Mr. George B. McClellan Purchasing Agent for the Board of Foreign Missions of the United Presby-terian Church, for services rendered to the University. (4) THAT the Board of Trustees express its appreciation to all those who have so generously cooperated in the work of the University throughout the year, especially to Dr. and Mrs. Hill for their generous gifts; toSteward-ship Incorporated for its support in carrying the promotion expenses during another year; to the executive officers: Dr. W. B. Hill, Chairiaan; Mr. Joseph M. Steele, Treasurer; and Mr. F. O. Shane, Recording Secretary, for their valuable guidance and counsel. k. (5) THAT the auditing firm of Barrow, Vyade, Guthrie and Company, Certi-fied Public Accountants of Philadelphia, be appointed to audit the accounts in America. for 1926-27; and that Price, Voaterhouse and W. B. Peat, Certi-fied Public Accountants of Cairo, be appointed to audit the accounts in Egypt for the S ear 1926-27. (6) THAT, in addition to the regular medical allowances, the University carry the cost of travel of Dr. and Mrs. McClenahan from Egypt to England and return. (7) THAT in the event of death or permanent disability of a peraanent A:lerican or British member of the staff, the allowances for his children be cont-inued in accordance with the regular provisions. (8) THAT the President's proposals with reference to adequate endowment for the University and a suitable pension system, be referred to the Finance Committee for study and elaboration.
