Creativity research highlights a duality in the definition of creativity, poised between novelty and value, reflected through different stages in the creative process. In today’s creative economy, novel ideas must be made meaningful and valuable, often using digital channels. Web 2.0 describes the tools that allow consumers to co-create meaning and value; Creativity 2.0 describes a networked approach to creative thinking that integrates artistic imagination with the digital technologies needed to deliver it.
