liquid or gas streams. The range of applications has grown dramatically in the last years as well as the number of researchers working with membranes. How to evaluate the membrane performance and the process performance is obviously critical in order to provide rational solutions. However, a lack of coherent interpretation of results and common approaches can be observed in the literature. It is thus essential to address (young) researchers to do an appropriate interpretation of results. In this work, a deep discussion on result interpretation is done in terms of process performance versus membrane performance (Luis, 2018)
