The system "Thyristor converter - dc motor" with modal regulator and current - limiting unit has developed. It's dynamic and static characteristics was investigated in operation with speed selector and without one, under acceleration and load surge, which does not exceed current - limiting level, and under drive stopping with reactive moment action.
