This Spatial Data Analysis is motivated by various problems related to the phenomenon of student migration from all over Indonesia to study in the Yogyakarta Urban Area in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, there are: Ways that can be used by researchers in tracing the characteristics of student mobility to Yogyakarta City, Yogyakarta Special Region; The right action to describe the migration patterns of inter-provincial risen students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta & Some data are suitable for research relating to mobility characteristics and student migration patterns in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the period 5 years, that is from 2010 to 2015. The Spatial Data Analysis aims to: Analyze some of the mobility characteristics of students from all over the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia to the Special Region of Yogyakarta; Mapping the migration patterns of risen students as students with a quantitative approach through Spatial Data Analysis through the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Applications and analyzing the dynamics of the number of immigrant students who are in the Special Region of Yogyakarta through inter-provincial migration throughout the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on the results of the 2010 Population Census and the 2015 Intercensal Population Survey. The Spatial Data Analysis utilizes the Simple Random Sampling Method in collecting data from 3 (three) related agencies, namely: Center for Population and Policy Studies of Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta, Library of the Faculty of Geography of Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta and the Central Library of Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta. The Spatial Data Analysis recognizes 2 (two) survey methods, there are: the Descriptive Survey Method or the Normative Survey Method, because it is in accordance with the Qualitative Approach in conducting with Spatial Data Analysis, example: Analysis of the Number of Inter-Provincial Recent Migrants and Analysis of the Flow Changes of Inter-Provincial Recent Migration as Students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta for the 2010 - 2015 Period and also the Analytical Survey Method or the Inferential Survey Method, because it is in accordance with the Quantitative Approach in conducting with Spatial Data Analysis, example: Analysis of the Distribution of Inter-Provincial Recent Migration Flow and Analysis of the Distribution of the Inter-Provincial Recent Migration Provinces as Students to the Special Region of Yogyakarta Period 2010 - 2015. The Spatial Data Analysis took the study locations in 2 (two) Regencies and 1 (one) City in the Region of the Special Region of Yogyakarta that had been determined, there are: Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta City and Bantul Regency. The Spatial Data Analysis resulted in 4 (four) products that were in accordance with the objectives of this analysis, namely: Thematic Map of the Distribution of Recent Migration Flow as Students in Yogyakarta Special Region based on areas of origin from the entire territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in 2010 and 2015; Thematic Map of the Classification of the Number of Recent Migrants as Students to the Special Region of Yogyakarta based on the area of origin of the entire territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in 2010 and 2015; Thematic Map Classification of the Distribution of Recent Migration Direction as Students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta based on the area of origin of the entire territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia in 2010 and 2015 and Table Description of the Characteristics of Mobility and Recent Migration Patterns as Students in the Special Region of Yogyakarta in 2010 and 2015
