Map of the Malay Peninsula and Thailand. The map shows the region of southeast Asia with the Ganges River in the west, the "Sinae" (China) in the east, and southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean, and China Sea. Sylvanus departed from previous editors of Ptolemy's geography by inserting contemporary manuscript sources over the Ptolemaic material. The maps, which are printed from woodblocks, are in two colours, red and black, with the principal names in red.
