Many prints were produced to commemorate the death of famous Kabuki actors and it shows how popular Kabuki actors were in late Edo and early Meiji period.; The Kabuki actor, portrayed Ichikawa Danjuro 8th died when he was only 32, and at the peak of his popularity. Japanese print shows a man is (dead) on a bed and many young women wre sitting next to it crying. Some of the women are reading some documents.
