In the chapter Society Immersed in Mediacracy, considerations on the importance of the media for the development of democracy are undertaken. To do so, concepts such as mediacracy, mediatisation of the public sphere, tabloidisation, infotainment and politainment are introduced. Particular attention is focused on changing the current paradigm in political communication (indicating the designations of the new paradigm) and shaping a new type of politics depending on media visibility (indicating the immanent features of a new type of politician).
