International audienceVery few studies have explored dietary patterns in the course of aging. Here we summarize 3 cross-sectional analyses carried out among seniors enrolled in the French NutriNet-Santé cohort. The results confirm the diversity of eating habits among the elderly in France. The analysis of dietary patterns showed that the “healthy” pattern explained most of the variance in food intake among seniors. Modest and age-dependent associations were observed between oral health and adherence to the PNNS dietary guidelines. Finally, it is possible that certain results reflect an evolution in food consumption in favor of better compliance with nutritional guidelines in the course of aging.
