The effects of Vinyl Acetate content on the crystallinity of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate were investigated by two techniques of thermal analysis. The values determined by these analysis were found to agree quantitatively with values calculated from probability equations and copolymer theory. The melting point of the crystalline portion of EVA and the concentration of the amorphous portion, Vinyl Acetate, correspond to the values predicted from the Flory theory. Directly depending on the vinyl acetate concentration, the EVA progressively changed from a high melt point crystalline copolymer to a completely amorphous one without a melt transition.
