The spatial behaviour of tourists has a large impact on the economic situation of a touristdestination. Stakeholders such as city councils have a strong interest in evaluating spatialbehaviour to avoid misallocation of their scarce resources. In addition, individual serviceproviders need to know where the tourists are in order to offer appropriate services and marketthem more effectively. The following paper suggests a methodology to analyse the spatialbehaviours of tourists based on real tracking data. This method was applied during a field studyin the city of Görlitz
