Backgrounds and objectives: Due to their high morbidity and mortality rates, asthma and smoking constitute a major public health issue. This study aims at understanding the relations between medical and psychological factors such as alexithymia, depression, anxiety and emotions among smoker and non-smoker asthmatic patients.Methods: 70 asthmatic patients were included in this study (17% female, 82% male, mean age 54 years +/- 13.7).
