During the last decades, biological invasions were observed to increase exponentially, at an unprecedented rate and magnitude, in direct relation with the human activities, especially globalization. In this context, some invasive species spread very quickly in the area of introduction. The European invasion of Leptoglossus occidentalis is a good example of this phenomenon. This study aimed at testing some hypotheses to explain the rapidity of this invasion.
