This thesis makes part of a research aimed towards innovative digital tools for the service of what is commonly referred to as Factory of the Future. Our work was conducted in the scope of the joint research laboratory "Inspection 4.0" founded by IMT Mines Albi/ICA and the company DIOTA specialized in the development of numerical tools for Industry 4.0. In the thesis, we were interested in the development of systems exploiting 2D images or (and) 3D point clouds for the automatic inspection of complex aeronautical mechanical assemblies (typically an aircraft engine).
