The struggle against corrosion in the aeronautical industry is an ongoing challenge. To meet these requirements, the current system uses chromates with anticorrosive properties. However, these compounds are classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic. A non-toxic sol-gel/polymer hybrid coating has been developed to provide an alternative to the reference system. This coating is innovative in its application by spray and a one-step UV-curing polymerization. This system is complex and the understanding of the mechanisms involved in corrosion inhibition has been the subject of this thesis work.
