Marine macroalgae represent a rich source of compounds, also known as specialized metabolites that play diverse ecological functions and are part of adaptive traits. Their concentration can vary according to biotic and abiotic factors but just a few studies on the overall responses of metabolites (metabolome) are available. In this context, the present doctoral study focuses on the potential sources of metabolomic variations in a common coral reef‘s brown alga, Lobophora.
